Sundreamin' with an Iced Coffee

Rain or shine, a nice cold refreshing coffee is a must for us at Pura Vida! Get your day started with this super easy-to-make Sundream iced coffee -- and don't forget the oat milk! 😍

What you'll need:

  • Chemex
  • Chemex filter
  • Sundream Coffee (whole bean)
  • Oat milk
  • Kettle
  • Water
  • Ice
  • Scale
  • Grinder

Step 1: Place the filter in the Chemex and rinse it with hot water using your kettle. Then heat your kettle to 200°F-205°F and let it cool for about 2 minutes!

Step 2: Empty the water from the Chemex and put in the ice cubes to turn that coffee *ice* cold! 🧊

Step 3: Grab those Sundream Coffee beans and start grindin'! For 1-2 cups of coffee, weigh 20g of coffee beans and grind them to a medium-course setting. Pour your coffee grounds into the filter and place the Chemex on the scale! (Don't forget to zero out the scale after.)

Step 4: Now's the fun part! Pour enough water over the coffee grounds to make sure they're all wet! (Let the coffee bloom for about 30 seconds.) Start pouring water into the center of the coffee grounds and slowly pour the water outward in a circular motion. Once you've reached the outer rim, you can circle back toward the center again! Keep repeating this pour until you've poured 330 ml!

Step 5: Get a glass full of ice and pour the yumminess in! Now grab that oat milk and get lost in the swirl!

We teamed up with @sundreamcoffee to make this ever so delicious iced coffee and we're totally obsessed (and full of energy⚡️)! For every bag of coffee purchased from Sundream, they remove one pound of trash from the ocean and beaches! It's safe to say they love the ocean as much as we do! 🤗

Comment below how you like your coffee! ☕️ (We 10/10 recommend oat milk! 😉)

I absolutely love brownie coffee… i don’t know what to call it bc i make it myself. I make brownies a lot so when i happen to have spare homemade brownies, i whip out the blender. I grind and make some expresso. first i pour in a cup of ice in the blender, and dark and semi sweet chocolate chips. I pour the hot expresso over the chips so they start to melt. I grab a bottle of chocolate syrup (only organic, plz) and drizzle it over the ice mix. I throw in two or three brownies, and we’re ready to go! I blend until it looks, like, well, coffee! I pour the 20,000 calorie drink (just kidding i dont actually know how many calories are in this) in a cup, scoop some whipped cream on top, and drizzle a little extra chocolate syrup. And, boom! Delicious drink. Just not every day, or even every week. I have this once every two months, but it’s definitely still my fave. I also wanted to say PV has inspired me so much- it’s my muse! I’m eighteen and since I was fifteen my dream was to become a model on this website. I weigh 110 lbs and I’m five five. I have brown hair and freckles and my friends say I look good in any color.
